This 300-acre nature preserve is privately owned by a nonprofit. There are several miles of trails for hiking and biking, some canoe ponds, and playgrounds for the kids. Alas, some of the trails had been washed out by rain and were not accessible while I was there.
It was a hot day when I visited, so the macro-critters were sensibly sheltering from the heat, and I focused on the micro-critters.
Some photos from a visit.
For those who don't know, I live in a converted campervan and travel around the country, posting photo diaries of places that I visit. I am currently in Tennessee.
