I wanted to save this for the weekly Colorado State Open Thread, but I decided the need for this article was too great to wait another three days.
During the pandemic, few business locations have been hit as hard by closures and restrictions, not to mention staff illness from interacting with customers and working in close quarters as have restaurants and bars. Sure, theaters, music venues, schools and manufacturing like food processing plants have also been hit hard, but with restaurants, there at least have been some temporary bright spots from someone who has been dubbed the “Covid Bandit”.
This is not someone who has been going around stealing Covid supplies (or worse yet, stocks of the actual disease), but it has been someone who has been going around stealing the woe and pain from people in the restaurant industry in Colorado. Someone, who has so far remained anonymous, has been handing out very large tips when dining at multiple Colorado restaurants. He usually leaves a $200 tip for each and every one — wait staff, kitchen staff, bussers and others who is on duty at that time, but you can see he does vary the routine depending upon the situation. Here are links to many stories about this person’s generosity:

What a wonderful thing for someone to do in this state. I just wanted to share.
