I’m awake. I woke the same way I do most mornings. I am excited about the new things I will experience today. That feeling is what gives me a spark to seek adventure. Will tomorrow be different? I’ll explain after the pause.
Morning Open Thread is a daily, copyrighted from a host of editors and guest writers. We support our community, invite and share ideas and encourage thoughtful, respectful dialogue in an open forum.
This is a post where you can come to share what’s on your mind and stay for the conversation (and often music offered). The diarist is on independent time (a schedule of their own) and gets to take a nap when he or she needs (or may wander off and show up later).
Just to let you know, it’s a feature, not a bug.

Thursday, December 2nd, 1980 was supposed to be a work day. My first wife woke with her body covered in an explosion of red blotches (hives). She believed she was in danger of her skin sloughing off. I called my boss and told him I was taking her to the hospital. That is where we spent the day.
Her Ob/Gyn was summoned because she was two weeks away from delivering her/our first child. There arose a concern over the health of both mother and infant. Induced labor was scheduled for the following morning. Long story hyphenated, things went well and the rest is history.
So, today is Tuesday and tomorrow morning my present wife and I will be at the surgery center while she receives her new hip. But, that is for tomorrow. Unlike Christmas, last day before summer vacation or my birthday (which was yesterday), I find no reason to fret because I have today to look forward to. Bring on the adventure.
Note: I was born under a half moon and yesterday was a full moon. Did you hear there was a Lunar eclipse Sunday night? Lunacy may play a part in today’s comments.
