Greetings to another little open threaded bit of Friday flavored fluff.
This week, it’s another week. Another week of photos featuring the annual Church Night event and some tiny critters seen around the garden.
Church Night is an annual event in the Czech Republic. Houses of worship all over the country take part in this event by hosting concerts and art exhibitions. Often they’ll also open some of the areas not normally open to the general public like bell towers and crypts.
Mrs the Werelynx and I went this year to the little town of Žireč and Saint Joseph’s Church.
There was a concert featuring three musical acts, an exhibit of paintings and a tour of the bell tower on offer.
The proceeds from the concert went to help fund Saint Joseph’s Home, a charity that works to provide support for people with Multiple Sclerosis. My mom had MS and, although the event organizer denied there was anything other than coincidence at work, the concert performers and the exhibiting artist all have MS.
The next day I mostly worked in the garden.
Because today is my 29th wedding anniversary, I took Mrs the Werelynx and our lads out to eat at the fanciest of the Vietnamese restaurants in our neighborhood— we have three we go to with any regularity. I stopped by our local florist and bought a floral arrangement that I had placed on our table, a little surprise with dinner. We’re talking about doing something extra extra special next year for our 30th. Speaking of annual events, we’re going to be celebrating Fabulous Mother-In-Law’s birthday tomorrow. So, I’ve got the turning of our planet on my mind this week.
Thanks for stopping by.
