The displays in the Lake Chelan Historical Society Museum in Chelan, Washington include a doctor’s office diorama and a small collection of pharmacy medicines.
Doctor’s Office
In 1891, Dr. A. S. Hayley became Chelan’s first physician. He sold alcohol to the Indians, which was illegal at the time, and was sentenced to four months on McNeil Island.
