I was considering writing a story about a GOP representative from my state on Monday after the loser Boebert pulled this despicable stunt in Colorado Springs on Sunday;
Yes, she got up in front of thousands / hundreds / I don’t know / I don’t care and was cheered for wishing our president to DIE. I just couldn’t stomach it long enough to write the story.
I remember when a high figure of Focus on the Family did the same thing when Barack Obama accepted the nomination at the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Some asshole got up and publicly prayed for it to rain torrents on the event. It turned out to be a glorious crystal, clear night. I was there and remember laughing. I laughed more when the Republican National Convention had to be postponed due to horrific storms just a few weeks later. God has a mean sense of humor.
So I was just browsing on Twitter and saw Lauren Boebert trending. Yeah. The chickens have come home to roost. There was this questionable story floating around.
...but also this great DK story about how Boebert’s constituents truly feel about her…
There is an allegation of a huge donation to Boebert from Ted Cruz early on.
And from one of our own…
Also this: occupydemocrats.com/… another older story about her here, though I have some reservations about this source, they do reference the consumer watch group American Muckrakers, who helped to bring down Madison Cawthorn.
That’s all I have to say about this.

There is an update to this story, just brought to me by a commenter, A Siegel. It is posted at Mother Jones and I recommend folks visit and re-evaluate this “story.” link.motherjones.com/...
I want to make it clear that Lauren Boebert absolutely DID pray for the president to die on Sunday, then laughed about it. I, nor anyone here at DK, made up these stories, of which there is a lot of smoke but no fire has been located.
We must remain vigilant, and stay connected to the truth.
