This is a random thought, new stuff seen and recorded diary. Some days and some things fall into this category and we all have had those moments. This is the remedy for those times.
Morning Open Thread is a daily, copyrighted from a host of editors and guest writers. We support our community, invite and share ideas and encourage thoughtful, respectful dialogue in an open forum.
This is a post where you can come to share what’s on your mind and stay for the conversation (and often music offered). The diarist is on independent time (a schedule of their own) and gets to take a nap when he or she needs (or may wander off and show up later).
Just to let you know, it’s a feature, not a bug.

It’s the middle of Summer in Mississippi. I have heard the adage, “a day for June bugs and Magnolia blooms” most of my life. I now have a visual aid to go along with the 90+ degree heat.
Scarab beetle with the heart of a flower.
You’ll need your earbuds for the next video (to truly enjoy the experience). Some whimsy comes along some days.
A few new Dragonfly photos from this week. I let the sun assist in their glory.
Widow Skimmer
same Widow Skimmer as above, different light and background
male Common Bluet Damselfly (Enallagma cyathigerum)
Blue Dasher (Pachydiplax longipennis)
Let’s mix a few other things into today’s diary.
Common Yellowthroat
Worm-eating Warbler
Katydid
Fragile Forktail (Ischnure posita)
female Northern Bluet Damselfly (Enallagma cyathigerum)
This is all I have for visuals. On to some audio.
Thank you.
